Andhra Pradesh, Srikakulam: On the instructions of District SP Sri KV Maheshwara Reddy IPS, Shakti teams conducted an extensive awareness drive on Saturday, educating female students across various schools and colleges about the importance and necessity of the Shakti App.
The teams informed students that the app ensures women’s safety and security, urging every woman to download, register, and use it. Across Srikakulam, Tekkali, and Kashibugga town limits, large-scale awareness campaigns were conducted, explaining the app’s features, services, and registration process.
Shakti teams visited multiple locations, emphasizing how the app enables women to file complaints without visiting a police station and serves as an emergency response tool in times of crisis. Women commuters at markets and bus complexes were also educated on self-protection and encouraged to install the app for their safety.
