Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu: In a joint effort to curb illegal sand transportation, officials of the Geology and Mining Department, with the support of Shoolagiri Police, successfully intercepted a vehicle transporting M-Sand without valid permission.
The vehicle was stopped during routine checks near Sati Exports at Atta Kuruki village on the Shoolagiri–Hosur National Highway. On inspection, authorities found about seven units of illegally transported M-Sand.
Acting swiftly, the officials registered a case, seized the vehicle, and handed it over at the Shoolagiri Police Station. This decisive action highlights the continued commitment of the police and enforcement teams in preventing illegal mining activities and safeguarding natural resources.
