Hyderabad: The accused attacked a realtor outside the Sub-Registrar’s office in the town and demanded Rs. 43.5 lakh. Siddipet police on Monday arrested four persons accused of stealing Rs. 43.5 lakh.
The arrested accused have been identified as Gajja Raju (26), Yadama Sai Kumar (22), Balipuram Karunakar (28), and Bigulla Vamsikrishna (20), residents of Keesara, Bandlaguda, Bhubaneswar district.
Vakulabharanam Narasaya, a victim from Siddipet, sold 176 square yards of land to Anil Kumar Reddy. Mr. Narasaya went to the registration office on January 31 to take the money and register the land. While his driver Parashuram was waiting outside the registration office with a cash bag in his car, the accused opened fire on him and seized a cash bag containing Rs.43.5 lakh cash from him.
Ms. N Shweta, Commissioner of Police, formed 15 special squads and immediately investigated the crime. According to the media, the police seized Rs.34 lakh cash, two motorcycles, a vehicle, and three cellphones from them within a week.
According to CP Ms. N Shweta, Saikumar was in love with a young woman in the past and often got into fights with her that time enlisted the services of Raju, a Kondapak Mandal resident from Mangol. She said Sai Kumar and Raju were in serious financial trouble after the police registered a poxo case against them. She explained that the plan was to rob some people of their money to solve their problems.
Police are investigating where the suspect got the weapon from. The Commissioner commended the entire Police Squad and the IT Cell Wing for breaking the case.
