Siliguri: The Siliguri Police Commissionerate has seen the gradual emergence of Asian Highway passing through Kawakhali as a pivotal route for Vehicular Traffic as well as Law and Order and Crime issues. Keeping in view its importance 31 points of the stretch of Asian Highway from Bihar More-Phansidewa Underpass-Chaterhaat Medical More- Kawakhali- Noukaghat More- Uttarkanya More have been covered with 88 CCTVs cameras consisting of 65 Bullet and 23 PTZ (Pan Tilt Zoom) cameras. The entire network is connected on broadband line with a live feedback at the Intergraded Control Room.
On the 11th Raising Day of Siliguri Police Commissionerate, Mr. Gaurav Sharma IPS, CP Siliguri inaugurated the new network at the Integrated Control Room.
