Siliguri: Miscreants broke into a local club in Matigara on 02.02.2022 and made good with a television set, a remote control, a set-top box, and a sound system.
The incident was reported by Mayadevi Club president Shiben Biswas on 05.02.22 and a case had been registered at Matigara PS under proper sections of law. During an investigation acting on a tip-off, Matigara police arrested a man named Manmohan Barman of Bidhanpally, Darjeeling District.
The accused has admitted to his involvement in the theft, and as per his confessional statement, the stolen property has been recovered from his house. Further interrogation of the accused is ongoing and he will be duly presented before the Ld. Court along with a petition seeking his police custody.
