Siliguri: Today, CP Siliguri along with DCP Headquarters, DCP East Zone, ACP East, and other senior officers visited and inspected various Puja Pandals in and around Siliguri.
A brief discussion was held with them about the crowd circulation plan and various security measures. Puja organizers were also briefed about the various Government guidelines for holding the pujas, especially in view of COVID-19.
As announced by Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal, Madam Mamta Bannerjee, and kindly granted by the Government of West Bengal, CP Siliguri distributed Cheques of Durga Puja grants to all these committees.
Also, as assured during the Commissionerate level Durga Puja meeting held at Shivam Palace in September, the first lot of Puja Permissions were also provided to many organizers during this visit.
Siliguri Metropolitan Police is committed to holding safe and peaceful Durga Pujas 2021.
