Siliguri: Acting on credible information today on 9.1.2022 at about 11 am a team of Detective Department (DD) SPC intercepted one TATA Zest four-wheeler vehicle bearing registration no. WB 73E 9809 at Khaprail more Mirik Road and apprehended two persons namely Randhir Chandra and Dhirendra Chandra both of Sainik Puri Khaprail Bazar under Matigara Police Station.
On search one 7.65 bore automatic pistol with magazine loaded with 4 live ammunitions and one extra magazine has been recovered and seized from their exclusive possession.
Both the accused persons have been arrested and a specific case under the relevant sections of the Arms Act is being initiated against them.
