Siliguri: On 30.07.21 evening, acting on a credible input, officers and men of NJP Police station apprehended one person named Ajoy Dey (21) from the reservation counter area, outside NJP Railway Station.
On search of his person, in presence of witnesses, one improvised firearm with one round of live ammunition has been recovered from his exclusive possession, and the same has been seized under proper seizure memo.
The accused person has been arrested and taken into custody. He will be presented before the Ld Court tomorrow. Necessary follow-up actions are being taken.
