Siliguri: On 01.11.2021, a Lady named Pratima Roy of Ranidanga in Bagdogra, had forgotten to pick her bag containing clothes and some gold ornaments after alighting from an e-rickshaw (Toto) she had taken at Siliguri Junction to Medical More.
She reported the matter to the Matigara police station, and with the earnest efforts of the policemen, the e-rickshaw driver was successfully traced.
Today, the driver named Bipul Sharma of Mamata Para, Sahudangi, NJP Police Station in Jalpaiguri district, handed over the bag with all its contents to the Matigara police station. The officers subsequently gave the bag to its rightful owner after proper verification.
The honesty of the e-rickshaw driver and the efforts of the police officers are praiseworthy.
