Siliguri: On the night of 24/25-07-21, officers and men of Pradhanagar Police Station conducted a raid at Hotel “Krishna Guest House”, Uttar Mallaguri, under PS Pradhanagar Police Station, and busted a criminal prostitution racket, that was being run in the hotel.
In the raid 9 accused persons including the owner Adrish Kumar Shah of Champasari Shivaji Nagar, Ward No 46, and his manager Sambhu Nath Thakur of Debidanga Bazar, Pradhanagar, have been arrested and taken into custody.
Six Ladies who were being forced into prostitution by the owner and manager of the hotel have been rescued.
During the raid, a substantial amount of incriminating articles were also recovered and seized from the hotel rooms.
Over this, a specific case under the relevant sections of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act was started at Pradhanagar Police Station.
Today on 25/07/21 all the nine arrested persons were presented before the Ld Court.
The hotel owner namely Adrish Kumar Shah of Champasari Shivaji Nagar, Ward No 46, and his manager Sambhu Nath Thakur of Debidanga Bazar, both under Pradhanagar Police Station, have been taken into 04 days Police Custody, for further investigation of the case.
