Siliguri: On 20.10.2021, NJP Police Station received a complaint that one Paritosh Roy of Paglaghat, Rajganj has been abducted by 3/4 persons on the way near Kamrangaguri. Paritosh was an employee of Radiant Cash Management Services. He was carrying Rs.11,05, 000/- with him which he had collected from various places.
SI Mr. Gautum Mallick and the team of NJP Police Station swung into quick action. After thorough and meticulous investigation and tracking, it was discovered that the whole abduction was fake.
SI Mr. Mallick arrested one Shyamal Roy, Asish Biswas, and Sanjoy Modak, all of Rajganj who confessed that they had planned this conspiracy with Paritosh in the greed of money that Paritosh was carrying. Later, Paritosh Roy was also arrested and an amount of Rs.9, 29,350/- was recovered from them. Remaining money they had disposed of.
Today OC NJP Police Station SI Mr. Samir Tamang returned the recovered money to their rightful owners.
