Siliguri: On 16.8.21 at about 9:30 PM, acting on a specific input, a Police team of Bhaktinagar Police Station detained one scooty driven by one person named Ranjit Mahato s/o Dev Narayan Mahato of Champasari Anchal, Pradhannagar, at Sevoke Road in front of Reliance Mart, Salugara.
On search, the police recovered 100 bottles of Altorex – CD Syrup, which he was carrying on the said scooty inside a gunny bag.
On being asked, he failed to produce any valid documents, in respect of his having possession of such a large quantity of contraband Drugs.
Hence, the police seized the contraband Drugs along with the scooty and took the accused Ranjit Mahato into custody. A specific case under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act is being initiated.
