Siliguri: On 19.11.21 evening, when Mrs. Matilda Bara (71) of Sanghati Apartment, Milanmandir road, Subhashpally, was returning back to her residence after purchasing medicines from a nearby Medical Store at around 5.30 pm, one unknown person riding on a motorcycle took away her hand pursue containing two Mobile Phones, ATM card & Keys of her house.
Within a few hours, a team of Siliguri Police Station detected the case, arrested the culprits involved in this case & also recovered both the stolen mobile phones as well as seized the motorcycle used in the crime.
Subhojit Kar (25) of Hyderpara, the main accused who had taken away the hand pursue from the lady, Swata Sarkar (21), the receiver of Shaktigarh More near Powerhouse, and Suman Madhu (25), the receiver of Khudiram pally were arrested in this case.
Today, a team from Siliguri Police Station under IC Siliguri Police Station, Inspector Sudip Chakaborty, had been to the house of the old lady and handed over her stolen mobile phones to her after observing all legal formalities.
