Siliguri: On the occasion of Poila Baishak and Subho Naboborsho, Mr. Gaurav Sharma IPS, CP Siliguri, along with other senior police officers visited Prerona, an institution for differently abled children and exchanged greetings with them.
The children, although not having the ability to see, were found to be attending regular schools and carrying out their studies at par with the other children. They were also extremely talented in other fields like singing, crafts, drawing and music.
It was heartening to the see the love, care and compassion extended to the children by the staff of Prerona under the leadership of Mrs.Rita Sengupta.
It was a day well spent in interacting with the children and the faculty members of the institution.
Siliguri Metropolitan Police will stand by and support the children of Prerona in the best possible ways and salutes the spirit and passion of the entire team of Prerona.
