Siliguri: A student of the Indian Institute of Legal Studies (IILS) had filed a police complaint on December 08, 2021 stating that two unidentified motorcycle-borne individuals had snatched her mobile phone and purse while she was walking back to her hostel from the institute located in Dagapur. Accordingly, a specific case was registered at Pradhan Nagar Police Station on 9.12.2021.
During the course of the probe conducted by investigating Officer ASI Mr. Tarun Ghosh, who went at length to collect ground level intelligence, two suspects came under the scanner and were detained today.
They have been identified as Ladeen Lama of Sukna, Part-1under Darjeeling District and Rohan Chhetri of Giddha Pahar, Kurseong, presently residing in Panchanai under Pradhan Nagar police station.
The police have recovered the stolen Vivo mobile phone and a motorcycle, which the duo had used to commit the crime.
The two accused persons have been presented before the Ld. Court today.
