<![CDATA[Ghaziabad: Smuggled rectified spirit have been seized and two men have been arrested in this connection by the police and the Excise Department. The quantity has been estimated at 83,000 liters with an estimated value of Rs.8 crore. The material was being transported to Delhi in three tankers. A senior officer said that the police received a confidential information, following which the joint team found three tankers stationed near a private dental college in Masuri loaded with rectified spirit. It was being used to make spurious diesel, petrol and liquor. The accused had smuggled the tankers from Lakhimpur Kheri district and were heading towards an oil company in Delhi. The accused have been identified as truck driver Dharamvir and buyer Rashid.]]>
