Uttarakhand, Almora (Someshwar), April 25, 2025: In a commendable initiative aimed at community engagement and awareness, the Someshwar Police, under the leadership of Station In-Charge Mr. Kashmir Singh, organized an educational visit for students and teachers from Government Inter College, Salonj.
During the visit, students received first-hand insights into police station operations, crime prevention strategies, and administrative procedures. Officers explained the process of filing reports, maintaining records, and managing daily station activities, offering a transparent view of law enforcement duties.
The Someshwar Police team also conducted informative sessions on crucial topics such as the harmful effects of drug abuse, awareness about cyber fraud, understanding new criminal laws, traffic regulations, and the importance of the Dial 112 emergency service. Students were educated about crimes against women and children, anti-human trafficking initiatives, and were made aware of key helpline numbers for timely assistance.
This interactive experience not only broadened the students’ understanding of law enforcement but also strengthened trust and cooperation between the police and the community.
