Sonitpur: On 28.2.2022 at around 10.10 pm relying upon source information a police team led by Mr. Sudhanya Suklabaidya IPS, DYSP (B) along with IC Borghat OutPost and staff of Salonibari Out Post conducted a raid against illegal gambling at Rupkuriya Salmara village under Salonibari Out Post area and apprehended three gamblers, namely, Salam Uddin (29), Zalimuddin (31) and Inamul Haque (32) all are of Village Rupkuriha, Tezpur Police Station.
The police also recovered 7 packets of new playing cards and one packet playing card, one tarpaulin, one charge light, and cash Rs.700/-. Some of the gamblers fled away under cover of darkness. The gambler escapes by taking advantage of the darkness.
