Jagtial, Telangana: The second phase of the Sarpanch elections is progressing peacefully across the district, District Superintendent of Police Sri Ashok Kumar, IPS, has said, highlighting the effective security arrangements put in place by the police department.
As part of his field review, the District SP personally visited polling centres in Jabitapur, Lakshmipur and Polasa villages, where he inspected security arrangements and interacted with officials on duty. He affirmed that voters are freely and confidently exercising their democratic right in a safe and orderly environment.
To prevent any untoward incidents, stringent security measures have been implemented throughout the district. Patrol vehicles and special police teams have been deployed to conduct regular monitoring and ensure the maintenance of peace and law and order.
The District SP also issued clear safety and operational instructions to officers and staff deployed at polling stations, emphasizing vigilance, professionalism and voter-friendly conduct. The smooth and incident-free polling reflects the proactive planning and dedicated efforts of the district police in safeguarding the democratic process.
