Chhattisgarh, Bilaspur: In commemoration of Road Safety Month 2025, the District Police Force inaugurated the “Helmet Bike Rally,” which kicked off at 7:30 am on Monday from the Arpa Review. The rally made its way through several of the city’s prominent routes, carrying a powerful message of safe traffic practices. It concluded at the Police Parade Ground.

The rally was officially flagged off by Municipal Corporation Commissioner Amit Kumar, who took part in this significant event aimed at raising awareness about road safety. The event saw enthusiastic participation from the public, with a particular focus on educating individuals about the critical role helmets play in ensuring safety on the roads.

During the rally, SP Bilaspur Mr. Rajnesh Singh IPS took the opportunity to address the participants, shedding light on the practical utility and necessity of wearing helmets. He emphasized the importance of road safety, particularly for motorcyclists, and reiterated the District Police Force’s commitment to raising awareness and providing safe traffic conditions for everyone in the city. His message was clear: the District Police is dedicated to ensuring that every citizen remains informed about traffic safety to protect lives.

As the rally made its way through the city, it passed several key locations, including Devki Nandan Chowk, Kotwali Chowk, Gandhi Chowk, Tarabahar Chowk, Agrasen Chowk, Magarpara Chowk, Mandir Chowk, Rajendranagar Chowk, and Ambedkar Chowk. Each of these bustling intersections witnessed the passage of the rally, as participants and local residents were reminded of the importance of safe driving practices.

At the culmination of the rally at the Police Parade Ground, the Superintendent of Police delivered an inspiring address to the rally participants, urging them to continue spreading the message of road safety. He reiterated the vision of “Incomparable Bilaspur, Safe Bilaspur,” urging the youth and all present to take an active role in making the city a safer place to live and travel. The event not only served as a reminder of the importance of helmets but also as a collective call to action to work together towards safer streets for everyone in the community.
