Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh: Demonstrating her commitment to ensuring high standards of policing and professionalism, Superintendent of Police Ms. Ankita Sharma carried out a surprise night inspection at Somani Police Station at around 11:00 pm on November 29, 2025.
The late-night visit focused on reviewing multiple operational and administrative aspects of the police station. During the inspection, the SP closely monitored:
* The working style and functioning of the station staff
* Cleanliness, hygiene, and upkeep of the police station premises
* Discipline, punctuality and duty responsibility of the personnel
* The real-time status of the night patrol team, ensuring personnel assigned for night duty were actively deployed
Along with the station premises, the barracks and residential facilities of police staff were also inspected to assess living conditions and welfare measures.
In a strong message reinforcing accountability, SP Ankita Sharma checked for alcohol consumption among personnel on duty. All staff members were found to be alert, disciplined, and fully committed to their duties, which were appreciated by the Superintendent of Police.
During the visit, she also interacted with police personnel on duty, offering guidance, motivation and clear instructions to further enhance performance, responsiveness and public service.
