Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh: Reinforcing the importance of accountability and people-centric policing, SP K. V. Maheshwara Reddy directed officers to ensure that all public complaints are resolved transparently and through field-level investigation.
During a comprehensive review meeting held at the District Police Office with DSPs, Circle Inspectors, and other officers, the Srikakulam District Police assessed progress on PGRS complaints, visible policing, enforcement measures, administrative practices, and court-related matters.
The SP emphasized:
* Immediate action and on-ground inquiry for every complaint
* Continuous performance evaluation of Sub-Inspectors by senior officers
* Strengthening visible policing through daily village visits and public interaction
* Conducting awareness drives under “Nari Shakti – Sankalpam” on women’s safety, cybercrime, drug abuse, and road safety.
He also instructed strict enforcement measures, including:
* Inspection of fireworks units to ensure compliance with licenses and safety norms
* Timely filing of charge sheets with proper evidence
* Immediate execution of pending Non-Bailable Warrants
* Awareness and action against helmet violations, drunk driving, and open drinking.
Senior officers, including Additional SP K.V. Ramana and other district officials, participated in the meeting.
The initiative highlights the department’s commitment to transparent governance, proactive policing, and enhanced public safety.
