Anakapalle, Andhra Pradesh: With the Meteorological Department forecasting heavy rains in the coming days, Anakapalle District Superintendent of Police Shri Tuhin Sinha, IPS, has appealed to the public to remain vigilant and follow safety precautions to avoid untoward incidents.
Emphasizing that public safety is the top priority; the SP issued the following advisory:
Avoid going outdoors during heavy rains unless absolutely necessary.
Do not attempt to cross waterlogged roads, bridges, or canals.
Stay away from electric wires, transformers, and electricity poles.
Refrain from standing near old trees, building walls, or lamp posts that may collapse.
Residents of low-lying areas should shift to safer locations if waterlogging occurs.
Follow instructions given by government officials, police, and disaster management teams.
In emergencies, contact the nearest police station or dial 100/112 for immediate assistance.
SP Shri Tuhin Sinha, IPS, stressed that community cooperation with police and disaster management authorities is vital to ensuring safety during adverse weather conditions. He reassured that the district police are fully prepared to extend assistance to citizens in need.
