Rachakonda: The “4th Annual Sports and Games Meet-2021” of Rachakonda Commissionerate started at Saroornagar indoor stadium on Tuesday with a grand note. Chief Guest of honor, Mr. Ravi Gupta IPS., Principal Home Secretary, Telangana Govt. graced the ceremony and inaugurated the games.
Addressing the media, Chief Guest of honor Mr. Ravi Gupta IPS., expressed his happiness for inaugurating the Annual sports meet of the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate and stated that sports help everyone to get relief from physical and psychological stress. He opined that sports help everyone to achieve physical fitness. He opined that the sports meet would become a relief for the Police after the pandemic and rejuvenate them.
He stated that sports meet will help Police to gain new energy after the pandemic. He advised the Police to come forward to participate in the event despite being busy in their duties and maintaining law and order. He advised the Police to continue physical exercise in their daily routine.
Speaking on the occasion, CP Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat IPS., said sports would help Police to free from the daily stress and maintain their physical fitness. CP stated that Rachakonda Police worked round the clock tirelessly during the pandemic and helped the citizens in numerous ways. CP said that sports help to achieve good health besides mental endurance. CP expressed his happiness on the active participation of the Police in the annual sports meet.
The CP stated that the Annual sports meet is not conducted in Rachakonda in the past two years due to the pandemic. “This is the 4th Annual sports meet which continues for four days and matches will be conducted in 35 sports” he added. CP welcomed the media persons to participate in the friendly match that would be held on the 10th between Police persons and media personnel. CP stated that the matches in the sports meet will be held in four stadiums Saroornagar, LB Nagar, Uppal, and Goshamahal and the closing ceremony would be held on the 10th.
Police working across Rachakonda Commissionerate are participating in the four days meet in which competitions be conducted for various sports like volleyball, shuttle badminton, Kabaddi, football, and other athletic games.
DCP Crimes Mr. P. Yadagiri, DCP Malkajgiri Ms. Rakshitha K Murthy IPS, DCP Admin Ms. K. Shilpavalli, were prominent among those who were present on the occasion.
