Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, December 28: As part of proactive crime control and public safety measures in Srikakulam district, the police conducted a district-wide counseling programme for rowdy-sheeters, history-sheeters, old offenders, and suspects on Sunday, following the directions of **District Superintendent of Police Sri K.V. Maheshwara Reddy, IPS.
Circle Inspectors (CIs) and Sub-Inspectors (SIs) across various police stations interacted with the identified individuals and counseled them to reform their behavior, abandon unlawful activities, and lead a disciplined and responsible life. The initiative aimed at preventing repeat offences through guidance, monitoring, and constructive engagement.
Police officials clearly conveyed that individuals willing to change and live law-abiding lives would face no obstruction and would be supported in their efforts to reform. At the same time, a firm warning was issued that any involvement in illegal activities or disruption of public peace would invite strict legal action.
The police cautioned that additional cases would be registered against habitual offenders if they violate instructions or disturb law and order. It was also made clear that the movements of suspects are under continuous surveillance, and stringent measures would be taken against those who fail to show behavioral change.
The Srikakulam Police reiterated that their approach combines welfare-oriented counseling with firm enforcement, aiming to curb criminal tendencies, maintain peace and security, and ensure a safe environment for the public.
