Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, July 6: In a determined effort to crack down on crime and curb anti-social activities, the Srikakulam 1st Town Police conducted a cordon and search operation within their jurisdiction in the early hours of Sunday.
The operation was carried out under the supervision and direction of District Superintendent of Police Sri KV Maheshwara Reddy, IPS, and was led by Sub-Inspector Harikrishna along with his team from the 1st Town Police Station.
Police teams conducted extensive checks in residential areas, fan shops, local establishments, and other vulnerable spots. Surprise inspections were carried out to identify illegal substances such as ganja, illicit liquor, and unauthorized stockpiles, as well as to detect and detain suspicious individuals and repeat offenders. The homes of known offenders were also thoroughly inspected.
As part of the operation, five two-wheelers without valid documents were seized. SI Harikrishna confirmed that the operation was aimed at strengthening community safety and deterring criminal elements through vigilant enforcement.
This proactive policing initiative reflects the continued commitment of Srikakulam Police to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of citizens.
