Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, July 12: In a determined effort to curb the movement of illegal narcotics, the Srikakulam District Police conducted extensive anti-drug checks with the assistance of the Police Dog Squad, featuring canine Jagilam, trained to detect prohibited substances like marijuana.
Acting on the directions of District Superintendent of Police Sri KV Maheshwara Reddy, IPS, the operation was carried out under the supervision of the Sub-Inspector of Mandasa Police Station on Saturday. The focus was on identifying and disrupting the transportation and storage of ganja and other narcotics in high-risk areas.
The operation is part of the police department’s zero-tolerance policy against drug trafficking and reflects their strong commitment to making Srikakulam a drug-free district. Authorities have assured that such intensified checks will continue, with strict legal action against offenders.
