Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, July 14: In a strong message reinforcing citizen-centric policing, District Superintendent of Police Sri K.V. Maheshwara Reddy, IPS, has directed all police officers to ensure timely, fair, and complete resolution of public grievances with utmost empathy and accountability.
Presiding over the Police-Public Interface and Grievance Redressal Program held at the District Police Office, SP Maheshwara Reddy personally interacted with 65 complainants, heard their issues face-to-face, and assured justice and prompt action.
During the session, the SP conducted a Zoom conference with relevant police station officers, shared details of the complaints in real time, and issued strict instructions for immediate legal action. Emphasizing accountability, he ordered that action-taken reports be submitted to the District Police Office at the earliest.
“No complaint should be neglected. Justice must not be delayed. Public grievances must be resolved with sincerity, sensitivity, and within a reasonable timeframe,” the SP stated.
The grievances received covered a wide range of issues including:
- Family disputes
- Property-related conflicts
- Fraud cases
- Civil matters
- Complaints from senior citizens and persons with disabilities
SP Maheshwara Reddy personally engaged with elderly and differently-abled complainants, taking note of their challenges and instructing officers to handle their cases with special consideration and priority.
This public grievance redressal initiative is part of Srikakulam Police’s continuous commitment to transparent governance, responsive policing, and building public trust through regular and proactive engagement with citizens.
