Key directives issued by SSP Pincha included:

  • Strict vigilance and preparedness in view of Panchayat elections, with enhanced beat patrolling and preventive action against individuals with known rivalries or histories of conflict.
  • Launch of “Operation Kalanemi”, targeting impersonators misusing religious identities, as per the instructions of the Hon’ble Chief Minister.
  • Reinforcement of “Operation Bhal Chau”, directing police to regularly visit senior citizens and retired police personnel to address their concerns.
  • Intensive checking drives to curb the smuggling of narcotics and illegal substances, along with monitoring of sensitive areas and suspected individuals.
  • Action against traffic violators and overloading, especially during the monsoon season, to prevent road mishaps.
  • Directions to dispose of pending investigations, complaints, and service of summons/warrants on a priority basis.
  • Emphasis on tackling cybercrime, crimes against women and children, and ensuring swift, sensitive action through public outreach.
  • Officers were trained in the use of drug detection kits and body-worn cameras, highlighting the push for smart policing.
  • Special instructions were given to monitor rumors and fake news on social media platforms and take immediate action to counter misinformation.

Further, the SSP engaged with the personnel to hear their personal and departmental grievances, ensuring that they were addressed promptly. Shri Upendra Sharma, In-charge Senior Prosecution Officer, also provided guidance on prosecution-related matters to strengthen legal follow-up in cases.

The meeting reflected Almora Police’s strong commitment to professionalism, community service, and modern policing practices, setting a strategic tone for upcoming operational priorities in the district.
