Mayurbhanj: The Mayurbhanj District police have successfully dismantled a notorious mobile theft gang operating during the Car Festival in Baripada. The operation led to the arrest of six individuals, including two juveniles, all hailing from West Bengal. These suspects were apprehended with a total of 51 stolen mobile phones in their possession. The arrested individuals have been forwarded to the honorable court for further legal proceedings.
In a commendable effort to return the stolen property to its rightful owners, the police organized a mobile return fair at the District Police Office (DPO) in Baripada. During this event, Superintendent of Police (SP) Mayurbhanj personally handed over 49 recovered mobile phones to their respective owners, bringing relief and gratitude to many festival attendees who had fallen victim to the thefts.
