Trichy: On the orders of Trichy District Superintendent of Police Dr. P. Murthy IPS. The Police force, Armed Forces, and Home Guard throughout the district are in a state of readiness to deal with the continuing heavy rains in the Trichy District. The Police forces are also on standby for the rescue operation. It is noteworthy that 60 of them have undergone disaster recovery training. They are divided into 6 groups and stationed at the sub-divisional headquarters of the district. A further 130 policemen with swimming training have been placed on standby. They have been provided with swimming equipment, rubber boats, high power lights, electric sawmills, etc.
On 9.11.2021Trichy District Superintendent of Police Dr. P. Murthy IPS, visited the low-lying areas in Kambarasampettai and discussed with the people. He also instructed the police to take appropriate precautionary measures after visiting the water supply in the area of the Trident Dam.
The public is hereby asked to take precautionary measures to protect their superior life from going to waterlogged areas and near poles to transformers.
