<![CDATA[Salem: A program aimed at decreasing stress at the workplace of the police personal of the Salem Rural District Police was held recently. The program was inaugurated by Inspector General (IG) of Police, West Zone, Mr. K. Periaiah, in the presence of Mr. T. Senthil Kumar, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Salem Range, and Mr. Georgy George, Superintendent of Police. The assistance of the experts of the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru was sought by the Tamil Nadu Police for conducting the stress reduction program. The members who underwent training in stress management under this scheme were Mr.V. Anbu, Additional Superintendent of Police, Ms. Indira, Inspector of Police, Vazhappadi All Women Police Station, Ms. Santhi, Sub-Inspector of Police, Konganapuram and Mr. Gnanamanikandan, psychologist from Neuro Foundation, Salem, in NIMHANS. Over 1,300 police officers and men attached to the Salem Rural District Police and their family members attended the training program.]]>
