On 14.9.2023 the Student Police Cadet program was inaugurated at the Sports Complex in Sector 7. A total of 600 students from 8th and 9th grades, representing 15 government schools, actively participated in the event. The esteemed presence of UT Chandigarh’s Honorable Administrator, Mr. Banwarilal Purohit, as the Chief Guest, added significance to the occasion.
He observed the impressive parade presented by the students and also witnessed the launch of the Road Safety Rangers initiative. Chandigarh Traffic Police is currently providing training and awareness on Road Safety and Traffic Rules to students from 12 schools. During the event, the Honorable Chief Guest, along with other esteemed dignitaries, unveiled the Road Safety Book-2022 and “Saransh,” the quarterly newsletter of Chandigarh Police.
