He is a staunch follower of the notorious fraudulent guru, Baba Babulal, who has been running a highly organized racket for years. Baba Babulal, posing as a spiritual leader, convinced people that he possessed supernatural powers to locate hidden treasures buried beneath the ground. Through elaborate rituals, fake spiritual ceremonies, and calculated psychological manipulation, both Meena and Babulal preyed on vulnerable individuals, promising them unimaginable wealth in exchange for large sums of money to perform these so-called treasure-revealing rituals.
Meena, as one of Baba Babulal’s closest disciples, played a key role in luring victims into the fraudulent scheme. The victims, often from rural and less-educated backgrounds, were persuaded to hand over their savings, gold, and other valuable assets in hopes of acquiring these hidden treasures. The operation was carefully orchestrated, with Meena acting as an intermediary between Babulal and the victims, ensuring that the scam went undetected for an extended period.
The arrest of Girdhari Lal Meena comes after a prolonged investigation, where law enforcement officers unraveled the extent of this widespread con.
