Hyderabad, Telangana: In a major breakthrough, Sultan Bazar Police, East Zone, arrested Usikela Vijay and Ambam Murali, who were involved in a large-scale cheating and forgery racket related to fake allotments of Government 2BHK housing units.
The accused posed as influential persons and officials of the Telangana State Housing Corporation, deceiving innocent citizens by issuing forged 2BHK allotment letters bearing fake seals and signatures. By exploiting the aspirations of economically weaker sections, they allegedly collected around **₹39 lakh from 19 victims.
Based on complaints received, Crime No. 211/2025 was registered at Sultan Bazar Police Station under Sections 406, 420, 468, 471 read with 34 IPC. Acting swiftly, the police conducted a thorough investigation, gathered evidence, and successfully apprehended the accused.
Both individuals were produced before the Hon’ble Court and have been remanded to judicial custody.
This case highlights the vigilance and commitment of Sultan Bazar Police in cracking down on housing frauds and protecting the public from organized cheating rackets. Citizens are advised to verify official housing schemes only through authorized government channels and remain cautious of fraudulent claims.
