Tiruvarur: On August 5, 2024, Mr. S. Jayakumar, M.Sc. (Agri), Superintendent of Police for Thiruvarur District, visited the Velangudi Liquor Exclusion Check-post under Nannilam Sub-division, within the Peralam Police Station jurisdiction. He conducted a surprise inspection, reviewing CCTV records. The SP also personally stood in the field to check vehicles, explained the importance of the checkpoint duties to the on-duty policemen, and provided appropriate instructions.
