Vijayawada: On September 23, 2023, Mr. Kanti Rana Tata, IPS, the Police Commissioner of Vijayawada, conducted an unannounced inspection at the Ajit Singh Nagar Police Stations and the North Division. The purpose of this surprise check was to assess the management of the police station, evaluate the performance of the staff, scrutinize their duties, review the handling of important cases, examine case diaries, village rosters, and various crime records maintained at the station. Additionally, the surroundings of the police station, seized vehicles, lock-up rooms, and computer rooms were thoroughly examined. Commissioner Mr. Kanti Rana Tata provided various instructions and recommendations to the officials. Furthermore, commendations and rewards were bestowed upon officers and staff members who demonstrated outstanding performance in their duties.
During this event, Commissioner Mr. Kanti Rana Tata, IPS, emphasized the need to reduce pending cases in the station’s jurisdiction, increase patrolling, and intensify efforts to combat crimes within the area. He also stressed the importance of addressing complainants courteously and resolving their issues in accordance with the law, without neglecting their complaints. It was emphasized to maintain a vigilant stance against suspicious individuals in secluded areas and their vicinity, as well as those involved in the sale and consumption of illegal substances, along with monitoring the activities of disruptive individuals. Various suggestions were put forth to work towards establishing NTR district as a drug-free city. The program was attended by Commissioner of Police Mr. Kanti Rana Tata, IPS, along with North Division ACP Mr. Ravikant, Inspectors Mr. Guruprakash, Mr. K. Srinivas, SIs, and other staff members.
