<![CDATA[The inauguration of The Tamil Nadu Police Museum is to be done by the Chief Minister Mr. Edappadi K. Palaniswamy on Thursday which is formerly Hamilton Club, on State Bank Road in Coimbatore. A project initially started by former City Police Commissioner Mr.A. Amalraj, the museum features exhibits narrating the history of Tamil Nadu police, literature on Coimbatore's history and weaponry of the police and the armed forces. It also has audio visual facilities for presentation of videos and amphitheatre where visitors can be briefed on the museum. The team led by the present City Police Commissioner Mr. K. Periaiah gave final touches to the dream project of the State police collecting various exhibits from decade old cannon to modern machine guns to a mini submarine seized from the LTTE. Ministers like Mr. S.P. Velumani and senior police officers including DGP Mr. T.K. Rajendran will take part in the event. According to senior police officers, a strength of more than 1,200 police personnel have been deployed for Chief Minister's protection from airport to the museum. After the opening of the museum, Chief Minister will leave for the Nilgiris to inaugurate the annual flower show.]]>
