Chennai: The State government has promoted four Inspector Generals (IGs) as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), 10 Deputy Inspector Generals (DIGs) as IGs and two Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASPs) as Superintendent of Police (SPs).
While Amaresh Pujari, IG, Tamil Nadu Police Academy, has been promoted and posted as ADGP, State Human Rights Commission; M. Ravi, Chief Vigilance Officer of TNCMPF Ltd., Aavin, has been promoted in the same post. K. Jayanth Murali, IG, Administration, has been promoted and posted as ADGP, Traffic Planning Cell; M.N. Manjunatha, IG, Tiruchi, has been promoted and posted as ADGP, Vigilance, TANGEDCO, according to a Home Department order. R. Dhinakaran, DIG, Tirunelveli, has been made IG, Administration; Avi Prakash, DIG, who is on deputation, has been promoted as IG; Vidya Jayant Kulkarni, DIG, CB-CID, has been posted as IG, Headquarters; and A. Arun, DIG, Tiruchi, has been appointed Tiruchi Police Commissioner. D. Kalpana Nayak, DIG, presently on deputation to Telangana, has been promoted as IG; M.T. Ganeshmoorthy, DIG, Greater Chennai Police, has been elevated as IG, Central Crime Branch. C. Chandrasekar, Chief Vigilance Officer, Tamil Nadu Newsprint & Papers Limited, Karur, has been promoted as IG. N. Arivuselvam, DIG, Police Training College, has been promoted and postede as IG, Tamil Nadu Police Academy, while C. Easwaramoorthy, DIG, Intelligence, has been promoted as IG in the same post. Deepak M. Damor, DIG on central deputation, has been promoted and posted as IG, Coimbatore Range. Omprakash Meena, ASP, Madurai has been promoted as SP, CB-CID and G. Shashank Sai, ASP, Tenkasi, has been promoted and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Flower Bazaar, Greater Chennai Police.]]>
