Hyderabad: Hyderabad: On January 8, 2024, based on credible information, the joint efforts of the Commissioner’s Task Force, along with Bowenpally Police in Hyderabad, led to the apprehension of three notorious Ganja peddlers/transporters, namely Jai Singh Bhati, Rup Chand Kachawa (also known as RK Baba), and Prem Kumar Parmar at Diamond Point, Bowenpally. The individuals were caught in the act of transporting 130 kgs of Ganja from Rajamundry to Medchal in two vehicles, a Bolero and a Maruti Suzuki Swift of red color. The seized items included 130 kgs of Ganja and three cell phones.
The arrested individuals were identified as follows:
Jai Singh Bhati, aged 44, son of Sughan Chand Bhati, residing in Hyderabad, originally from Rajasthan.
Rup Chand Kachawa (RK Baba), aged 27, son of Ram Kumar Ji, residing in Hyderabad, originally from Rajasthan.
Prem Kumar Parmar, aged 35, son of Kaluram, residing in Hyderabad, originally from Rajasthan.
The police confiscated 130 kgs of Ganja, valued at approximately Rs.32,50,000, one Bolero with registration number TS07-UD 0379, a Maruti Swift car without a number plate, and three cell phones from the possession of the accused.
On January 8, 2024, around 09:30 AM, acting on credible information, the Commissioner’s Task Force, South-East Zone Team, and Bowenpally Police intercepted two vehicles, a Bolero with registration number TS07-UD 0379 and a Maruti Suzuki Swift of red color without a number plate, at Diamond Point under Bowenpally Police Station limits. The arrest of Jai Singh Bhati, Rup Chand Kachawa (RK Baba), and Prem Kumar Parmar took place at 12:10 PM while they were transporting Ganja.
Upon investigation, it was revealed that Jai Singh Bhati had been operating Tirumala Noodles in Jeedimetla, Subhash Nagar, for 16 years and running a Donkey Farm in Kucharam of Medak limits for one year, with Prem Kumar Parmar as his business partner in the donkey farm. Due to their struggling businesses, they decided to get involved in the illegal trade of Ganja about four months ago, with the assistance of individuals named Mangilal and Dharmendra. The main suppliers of Ganja, Ranjan, and the other accused, Mangilal and Dharmendra, are currently at large.
The arrests were carried out under the supervision of Ms. Rohini Priyadarshini, DCP, North Zone, Hyderabad, Ms. Sreebala D, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Task Force, Mr. A.V.R. Narasimha Rao, Addl. DCP, Task Force, Mr. VVS. Ramalinga Raju, ACP, Begumpet Division, Mr. S. Saidababu, Inspector of Police, Commissioner’s Task Force, South-East Zone Team, Mr. B.Lakshmi Narayana Reddy, Inspector of Police, Bowenpally PS, and SI’s Mr. M. Anantha Chary, Mr. Sai Ram, Mr. Raghavendra Reddy, Mr. A.Nagendra Babu, along with PC’s Mr. Md. Aziz and the staff of Commissioner’s Task Force, South-East Zone Team and Bowenpally Police Station, Hyderabad.
