Tamil Nadu, Tirunelveli: Two youths from Thamaraikulam, Vijayanarayanam, have been arrested for sharing a controversial video on social media. Madasamy (22) and Vakeem Pandian (19) allegedly posted a photo of themselves holding an aruval (machete) on Instagram, along with a video containing provocative dialogues.
Upon learning about the incident, the Vijayanarayanam police launched an investigation, with Assistant Inspector Udayalakshmi registering a case. The duo was arrested on April 1, 2025, for attempting to incite unrest through their social media posts. Authorities are now taking steps to remand them in judicial custody.
