Dindigul: In Dindigul District, Thangaraj from Koompur Bambulupatti stands accused of spreading false news and misinformation on social media regarding a kidnapping incident in the Koompur area, aimed at extorting money. This action has led to public unrest and panic, as well as unauthorized use of a private TV logo for editing purposes. Acting on directives from Dindigul District Superintendent of Police Mr. Pradeep IPS, and under the supervision of Deputy Superintendent of Goods, Mrs. Durga Devi IPS, Vedasandur Taluk authorities took action. With Inspector Mr. Balamurugan leading the police team from Vedasandur Police Station, Thangaraj was apprehended and detained.
