Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, July 8: In a significant action during the ongoing Kanwar fair, the Agarkhal police outpost team arrested a youth in possession of 110 grams of hashish. The accused was allegedly attempting to sell the contraband to Kanwariyas at inflated prices.
The arrest was made during routine checking operations aimed at ensuring a safe and drug-free environment for pilgrims. A case has been registered against the accused under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at the Narendranagar police station.
