Rachakonda: The Rachakonda Commissioner Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat IPS advised the citizens to follow night curfew rules in a press meet held at Rachakonda Commissionerate Today. Speaking to the media CP Mr. Mahesh Bhagwat IPS told that, since the Covid-19 positive cases in the second wave have been reached around 5900 plus Telangana state government has decided to impose night curfew till May 1st, 5 am across the state in the night time from 9 pm to 5 am and issued the GO NO MS 87 on 20th April. He said that the night curfew will remain active from 9 pm to 5 am from 20th April to 30th April the next day. Shops, restaurants, bars, and establishments will be closed during curfew time by 8 pm strictly. Hospitals, diagnostic centers, pharmacies, Telecommunications, broadcasting services, online delivery services, IT services, and few other services are exempted. Central and State government employees are exempted and other exempted categories are mentioned in the GO. Exempted government employees should carry their Identity Proofs in the curfew time. 46 check posts will be in place in Rachakonda who will be on the job of strict implementation of night curfew along with patrol mobiles, blue colts.
CP Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat IPS advised the citizens to strictly follow the curfew rules. He also added that the people who violate curfew rules will be punished under sections 51 to 60 of the disaster management act and IPC 188. A fine of 1000 rupees will be imposed for those not wearing face masks. He instructed everyone to follow social distance and use sanitizer and practice maintenance of physical distance. Since the COVID-19 positive cases are increasing rapidly, CP advised the citizens to go for vaccination as per their eligibility schedule.
