HYDERABAD: The Telangana Police arrested seven minor boys on Thursday for impersonating as students and appearing for class-X SSC examinations in Hyderabad. Five boys were detained in Rein Bazar Police limits and two boys were detained in Chandrayanagutta Police limits. On Thursday Mathematics paper-I of class X examination was held from 9.30 am to 12.15 pm. A minor boy impersonated as a genuine candidate and appeared for the examination held at a school in Barkas, said Mr Y Prakash Reddy, Inspector of Police. Mr Reddy said, “The invigilator noticed that the minor student was not a genuine candidate after examining his hall ticket and picture and found that the minor indulged in impersonating, after this the officials alerted the Police by detaining the students”. After a complaint from officials, Police registered cases and detained two minors in connection with the incidents. Five minor boys were detained by Rein Bazar Police for impersonating as genuine students and having appeared for class X exam. The invigilators noticed the minors and detained them at the time of verification. Even though those indulging in such forms of malpractices are caught regularly, proxies don’t try too hard to mimic appearance of the real candidates, officials said. ]]>
