Hyderabad: The Telangana Police Department on Tuesday launched a one-time discount initiative to recover Rs.5.5 crores through which the above-mentioned amount was collected.
This amount was realized after clearing over 5 lakh challans through the “Integrated e-Challan System”.
Meanwhile, Home Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali on Tuesday advised the people to get the reduction offered on pending challans and clear them by the end of the month.
Police officials have already been directed to intensify inspections on major routes and sensitize vehicle owners to clear pending challans.
