Siliguri: On 24/07/21 at about 2130 hours, acting on a tip off, officers and men of Pradhanagar Police Station under the supervision of ACP West, conducted a raid at Peacock Den Bar and Restaurant, situated at the side of NH 31, Champasari, Pradhanagar, and found the bar open.
Alcoholic drinks and food were being served to the customers, violating the time restriction and COVID protocol.
Nine persons who were partying inside the Bar cum Restaurant and one staff of the said Bar have been arrested and taken into custody.
A specific case is being initiated at Pradhanagar Police Station against all the 10 arrested accused persons and the owner of the Bar cum Restaurant, under the Disaster Management Act.
Necessary follow-up actions are being taken.
