Chennai: The P-3 police team patrol vehicle of the Vyasarpadi police station on the morning of 08.3.2019, 02.30 a.m near the Vyasarpadi TASMAC and Ambedkar College Road junction were conducting vehicle checks, 2 Yamaha motorbikes (registration number TN20 X3639 AND TN07 F1863) with 2 each on each bike with a total of 4 persons were intercepted by the police team. The persons that sat behind both the two wheelers fled the scene, the police team made a search of the 2, Two wheeler drivers and it came to light that one driver was in possession of a 1 1/4 feet long knife. Both the drivers, Arun and Prabhu were arrested and the police confiscated the knife and the 2 wheelers and handed them over to the P-3 Vyasarpadi police station.
In addition the officers who exhibited vigilance during the incident and arrested the criminals were the P-3 patrol Vyasarpadi police station Officer in Charge of the police Guard patrol vehicle Mr.Paramasivam (32810), armed police vehicle driver, Mr.Kavinraj (42966), Guard, Mr. Kumar (HG 1954). The Chennai Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mr. A.G. Viswanathan, IPS, called the officers personally on 09.03.2019, praised, and gave away rewards.
