BENGALURU: The Halasuru Gate police have captured a group of seven individuals who had supposedly denied 5.593 kg of gold ingots worth Rs 2.56 crore from a bullion dealer. The captured are Mohammed Farhan (23) of Sarvajna Nagar, Mohammed Hussain (35) of Nagawara Main Road, Mohammed Arif (34) and Azam (39), both from Venkateshpura, Shahid Ahmed (24) of Kushal Nagar, Umesh (54) of RT Nagar and Suhail Baig (24) of Govindapura.
Police said complainant Siddeshwar Haribha Shinde, who runs Samskar Enterprises in Nagarthapet, is a bullion broker. He and his staff member Suraj Srikanth Jadhav were bringing the gold from Attica Gold Company at Balekundri Circle, around 8.30 pm on November 19. While passing Cubbonpet, two lowlifes on a bicycle assaulted Shinde with a sword and hurried away with the bag.
“Investigations uncovered that one of the denounced was functioning as a guard at the Attica Gold Company and he knew that Shinde used to purchase gold in huge amounts. Upon the arrival of the wrongdoing, he had informed the other denounced that Shinde had come to purchase gold,” the police added.
The police recuperated 4,984 gram of gold worth Rs 2.25 crore and are examining to recuperate the leftover 609.750 gram. “Among the charged, two have criminal cases, including kill and abduct cases,” the police said.
This operation was conducted under the guidelines of Central Division Division DCP MN Anucheth IPS ,Under guidance by Halasuru Gate subdivision Mrs. Najma Farooqi, KSPS , Led by Halasuru Gate Police Inspector Mr. C.V Deepak along with the team Mr. N C Mallikarjun P.S.I., Mr. Gopalakrishna P.S. I., Mr. Shivakumar P.S. I and staffs have been successful in cracking this case.Mr.Kamal Pant IPS, Bengaluru City Police Commissioner had appreciated Halasuru Gate Police for their endless efforts .
