Greater Noida: The Greater Noida Police received complaints regarding burglaries in Sector Beta 2 area of Greater Noida.
After registering the complaints the police commenced the investigation to track down the criminals.
Mr Sujeet Upadhyay, Station House Officer at Sector Beta 2 police station said, during the investigation, the police received a discreet piece of information on the movement of the accused near Rampur market. The police personnel spotted the three accused riding a scooter. On signalling them to stop for checking the accused turned the vehicle around and tried to escape. The police officers successfully managed to arrest the accused on Saturday.
The accused were identified as Moinuddin, a resident of Bihar, Satish and Pramod who are residents of Hapur. During interrogation, the accused told the police that they used to return to their hometown after entering and stealing from houses during the night. The police recovered four gold bangles, a pair of gold earrings, one gold necklace, three gold chains, three silver ankles, two mobile phones, two laptops, one scooter and around Rs.5000/- from their possession. Mr.Upadhyay said some goods were recovered from the accused’s hideout while the balance had been sold to a jeweller in Hapur. He said that we are trying to arrest the absconding jeweller.
The police said that the three arrested accused were produced before a magistrate on Saturday and then sent to judicial custody.
